Description:

We are looking for a dynamic individual to assist in our early learning program in various locations in the Capital District.  These Early Learning positions support the work of the YMCA, a leading charity committed to strengthening  our community. These roles help to create a positive learning environment , nurture relationships, and support the potential of all children at sites as part of the overall daycare experience.  

Qualifications:

  • AAS in Child Development, Elementary Ed., Physical Ed., Recreation or related field with no prior experience OR Child Development Associate Credential WITH one (1) year prior experience OR 9 college credits in Child Development, Elementary Ed., Physical Ed., Recreation or related field WITH two (2) years direct experience working with children under the age of 13.
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
  • Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
  • Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential
Preferred Education Level: Associate's Degree
