Description:

The Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum provided by Director. The Assistant Teacher is also responsible in assisting the Lead Teacher in in the general supervision and management of the classroom. 

Responsibilities:

-Assist in planning and preparing the daily activities for classroom

-Assist in maintaining a safe environment for all participants in the classroom

-Supervise the classroom when Lead Teacher is out of classroom

-Report any needs or concerns to Lead Teacher and Director in a timely manner

-Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Techer or Director

-Lift up to 40 lbs.

-Be mobile to ensure the safety of the children

-Assist children with diapering/toileting needs 

-Perform light cleaning

Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or GED

-1-year experience related to caring with children

Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential
