Description:
Excellent pay and benefits, child-friendly passionate, and collegial staff, child lead learning and discovery. The minimal requirements needed for the position is a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and or related studies. Responsible for working within the framework of the Sponsoring Agency, supervise the planning and execution of a New York City Early Childhood Program under the umbrella of the Department of Education, DECE (Division of Early Childhood Education). Provide sound educational goals that are age appropriate. Requirements: fingerprint and must pass a criminal background check, updated medical with required immunizations. Must pass NYS Teaching Certification Examination within 3 years upon hire.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential
Preferred Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
