Description:

This is a full–time, full–year position Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wages depend on the assistant’s educational and experience credentials and start from $16/hour.

Responsibilities:

Assist the lead teacher in planning and executing daily activities and curriculum.
Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor activities.
Help create a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Support children’s individual needs, including feeding, diapering, and toilet training.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and exploration.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about children’s progress and daily experiences.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; an associate degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
Previous experience working with children ages 2-5 in an educational or childcare setting.
A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and perform tasks that require physical activity.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED

Preferred Education Level: Associate's Degree
