Assistant teachers

Friends Academy a Quaker Independent School, grades PS-12 is seeking a Part-Time Teacher Assistants for our Infants and Toddler classrooms to help nurture our littlest friends, ages 6 weeks up to 3 years old. Our program is licensed by NYS Office of Family and Children Services and nestled in on a 65 acre campus. The Teacher Assistant positions could start immediately or fall 2022. The Assistants work approximately 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Friday in either the am or pm.

Responsibilities:

A successful candidate will assist with the daily routines of young children, engage in age-appropriate activities, and assist with developing skills. We are looking for a reliable nurturing person who will enjoy working in a comfortable, pleasant school setting. Experience with young children is required. Experience working in a Daycare or Early Childhood setting is preferred.  Ability to adhere to licensing and NYSOCFS guidelines. Background Screening is required. Dependability is a must.  Must be agile to move about the classroom and outdoor facilities, sit on the floor with the children and lift 50 lbs.
