Breaker/Closer

Description:

Looking for a breaker/closer to work M-F 12-6pm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Covering a classroom while the teacher is on lunch break

-Assisting co-teacher with student supervision, behavior management and the implementation of daily lessons

-Preparing and distributing daily snacks

-Providing safe, responsive, stimulating environment by actively engaging oneself in daily activities and routines

-Assisting in potty training and changing pull-ups throughout the day

-Engaging with children during daily outdoor play

-Cleaning in accordance to state regulations

We are looking for people that are

-Nurturing, flexible and reliable

-Team players who are able to work with a co-teacher and take direction from the Director

-Willing to participate in 15 hours of Professional development annually

-Must have at least 1 year experience in a daycare or early childhood setting

-Must be able to lift 30 lbs, walk, squat/kneel and sit on floor to ensure children's health and safety

-Center based experience is a plus!

-Degrees beyond High School diploma or it's equivalent, not required-but are a plus!
