La Petite Colline Preschool is seeking a full time Lead Teacher.

Duties include:

  • Plan developmentally appropriate lessons and daily activities
  • Bring engaging educational ideas and activities into the classroom
  • Supervise students and work collaboratively with all staff to promote a stimulating and safe learning environment
  • Maintaining a daily routine that is consistent and predictable
  • Be able to observe and react positively as well as appropriately to children’s needs
  • Assist in training and supporting assistant teachers, interns, and support staff
  • Bring enthusiasm, happiness, energy, excitement and a big smile everyday
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Lead parent teacher conferences
  • Develop a positive rapport with families and caregivers
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Daily complete digital log for each student
  • Daily classroom cleaning and mealtime preparation
  • Participate in diapering and toileting of students
  • Attend trainings and professional developments
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and in case of emergency a 40 pound child

 

Responsibilities:

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree preferred but BA in Early Childhood Education and working towards masters as well as certification will be accepted (study plan candidates
  • Native French Speaker preferred, but not required
  • Availability to work full-time between the hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Applicants must have at least 1- 2 years of experience teaching 
  • Three Reference Letter CPR/ First Aid Training
  • DOI fingerprinting or the ability to get fingerprinted
