Experienced Head Preschool Teacher/ Teachers Assist/Intern/Admin needed ASAP

Description:

Our center in Rego Park, Queens is looking for experienced Head teacher / Teachers Assistant / Intern/ Admin for our Preschool/UPK class. Ages 2 to 5 years old.
Full time and Part time needed ASAP

Responsibilities:

Lead Teacher responsibilities for children (ages 2-5):

- Create a fun and educational environment by using positive interaction and communication.
- Plan, prepare and implement weekly lesson plans, using a curriculum that encourages active participation from children on a daily basis.
- Maintain a safe learning environment by keeping the daycare facility clean and organized at all times
- Work with parents to provide support and guidance on their child's learning patterns and behaviors
- Understand the importance of complying with company policies and maintaining important records including child attendance, health, incident reports, etc.
- Maintain supervision of children at all time.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Be able to "think on your feet," "take lead" and work under minimal direction and supervision
- Work in a team setting as well as a self-directed environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Assistant Teacher Responsibilities for children (ages 3-5):

- Support Lead Teacher by assisting with daily activities and checking on children work habits
- Setting up and cleaning up classroom
- Maintain supervision of children at all times
- Effectively communicate and interact with children in a positive manner
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Be able to "think on your feet," "take lead" and work under minimal direction and supervision
- Work in a team setting as well as a self-directed environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time

For the 2 year old classroom the Teacher Assistant must be able to perform the following tasks:
- Prepare food for children
- Diapering and cleaning children's accidents (vomit, wetting, etc.)
- Helping in potty training
- Follow a structure program each day
- Be creative and assist the Head Teacher in creating new activities for children (Arts and Crafts)
- Follow directions without deviation on basic rules of facility
- Being reliable and punctual is a MUST.

IMPORTANT! Must be a mature, reliable, hardworking, team player who loves to work with children.
