Salary/Wage: $43,635 - $68,652 a year (The position includes Health & Dental Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Time Off, as well as other benefits.)

Job Type: Full-time

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Description:

The Group Teacher will execute the following duties:

Supervise the Assistant Teacher, Teacher’s Aide & children in their classroom
Create lesson plans based on the DOE’s Units of Study
Assign to the other teachers in their class, and help with, classroom duties
Keep the classroom clean
Help to serve the children their meals
Communicate with parents about their children
Take part in professional developments and staff meetings
As well as other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

The Group Teacher:

Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study
Can also be on an approved Study Plan, which has to be completed within 7 years
Has to complete the NYS Mandated Reporter 2-Hour training course
Will complete 15 hours of training every 2 years
Must clear both a Department of Health & Department of Education background check
Possesses experience working with young children
Has to provide 3 business references
Will complete Pediatric CPR/First Aid course

*A NYS certified teacher is preferred*

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education Level: NYS Teacher Certification
