Lead Teacher - Toddlers

Description:

Smithtown daycare seeks a lead teacher for one of our infant classes.  Individual must be nurturing and creative. Individual must be able to multi-task.  Individual must be a team player; able to work together with assistant teachers.  Individual must be willing to change diapers.  Our day care facility has hours from 7:00am until 6:00pm.  Individual must have availability to work shifts within those hours.
Must be trustworthy, reliable, hard-working and professional!

Responsibilities:

As a Lead Teacher in our program, you would be responsible for, but are not limited to:

1. Creating/implementing developmentally appropriate activities /lessons
2. Creating a daily schedule
3. Changing soiled diapers/clothing
4. Sanitizing toys, cleaning in the daycare area/ Ensure that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained.
5. Completing all classroom paperwork: for example, daily notes, student accident reports, medication administration forms
6. Following all NYS OCFS regulations
7. Ensuring that all parents, children, and classroom concerns are appropriately addressed.
