The Fundraising Manager will report to ParentCorps Associate Director Kai-ama Hamer with a dotted line to the NYU Langone Office of Development and Alumni Affairs and collaboratively secure new philanthropic gifts, grants, and multi-year partnerships to ensure diversified funding to support ParentCorps’ vision of national impact. Ideal candidate will have substantial experience devising and implementing philanthropic strategies for growth.

Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising: Lead efforts to meeting annual fundraising goals, in collaboration with senior ParentCorps leadership. Source and apply for philanthropic opportunities best suited for current stage. Draft grant applications, LOIs, proposals, etc. Effectively present case for multi-year, catalytic investment in ParentCorps’ national expansion, via unrestricted investments. Focus and refine philanthropic fundraising strategy based on new information. Develop and maintain grants tracking database and tools to manage proposals, outcomes and ensure compliance with deadlines 

  • Grant Reporting: Contribute to grant reporting process, communicating transparent progress to funders and engaging funders as thought partners in problem areas. Collaborate cross-functionally across ParentCorps to develop narrative content for proposals, as needed. Lead potential funder meetings, in collaboration with senior leadership.

Partnership and Collaboration:

  • With the NYU Langone Health Office of Development and Alumni Affairs(OODAA):

    • Maintain smooth communication and partnership with OODAA to ensure a productive relationship. Work effectively with OODAA to ensure mutually successful fundraising efforts Communicate development activity related to prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, reports and stewardship to ensure the effective coordination of strategic efforts.

  • ​Additional Partnerships and Collaborations:

    • Consult with philanthropic partners and other industry experts to build ParentCorps’ visibility with high-impact funders.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, or related field.

  • 3 years’ related experience in development, including establishing a network of relationships in social sector or education philanthropy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member. 

  • Strengths in problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in communications, business, or related field.

  • 5+ years’ related experience.

  • Knowledge of grant policies and regulations for the public and private sectors.

  • Experience driving projects and in project management.

  • Expertise in early childhood education landscape.
