Description:

Park Slope Schoolhouse is currently looking for a part-time Assistant Teacher from Mondays - Fridays from 2pm-6pm (starting in September, the time will move to 2:30pm-6:30pm). Approximately 20 hours a week with additional hours as needed. Proof of vaccine required. $20/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning, preparing and implementing developmentally appropriate individual and group activities

• Assist with setting up and maintaining a clean, safe and healthy classroom environment

• Interact in a caring and professional manner with children and families while recognizing and maintaining confidentiality standards and requirements

Qualifications:

• Associate’s/ Bachelor’s degree or CDA preferred

• Experience with children ages 1 - 4

• A collaborative work ethic

• Ability to positively relate to and effectively communicate with children and families

• Ability to make a positive impact on early childhood developmental needs
