Senior Engagement Specialist (Bilingual Perinatal Infant Mental Health Consultant)

The Bilingual Early Headstart Perinatal/Infant Mental Health Clinician/Consultant provides both indirect direct services to children and families, allowing easy access, timely response, and flexibility to deliver services that are in the home and community based in a family centered approach.

Responsibilities:

DIRECT CLINICAL SERVICES: Provides assessment and counseling to children, families and/or groups with behavioral and/or emotional mental health needs. Services will be provided in the home, school, or office, as needed. Facilitates referrals and communication between agencies for other services on behalf of the child and family. Attends team meetings to plan and monitor services. Provides case management, collateral contact, and social support, as needed.

CASE MANAGEMENT & SERVICE COORDINATION: Makes home visits to support families. Facilitates communication between agencies on behalf of the child. Attends team meetings to plan and monitor services. Provides case management, collateral contact, and social support, as needed. CONSULTATION/EDUCATION SERVICES: Provides consultation services to home visitors, community partners, and school personnel, as needed. Also provides consultation and support to program staff.

CLINICAL RECORD-KEEPING: Initiates and maintains, in a timely and thorough manner, the wide variety of record keeping, and administrative documentation required to account for services provided to consumers - including, but not limited to, consumer specific assessments, case services, progress notes, time sheets, schedules, billing reports to third party payers and assigned periodic reports.

ADMINISTRATIVE: Attends all ECMH, EHS and community meetings necessary to promote coordination and communication

Qualifications:

Requirements:
Master's degree in a relevant field with experience providing counseling services to families and children.
License eligible or license holder in LMSW, LCAT or LMHC or related field - will consider those who hold a Masters in Early Childhood Development or Infant Mental Health if willing to train and have relevant experience.
Fluent in Spanish
