The Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO) is seeking a Program Nurse to work as a member of the Early Childhood health team to deliver consistent, comprehensive health services to children and families enrolled in CEO's Early Childhood programs. The work schedule for this position aligns with a typical school day and offers paid shut down weeks (in February, April and December), weekends off and is eligible for paid holidays.

Responsibilities:

More specifically, the Program Nurse will assist in establishing and maintaining working relationships with medical and dental care providers to assist families in accessing care.  Will monitor and ensure that all children possess up-to-date physical examinations, immunizations and dental exams. Will complete case notes utilizing the established database and conduct referral and follow-up for all children with identified or suspected health problems. 

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN license
  • Prior experience working with pediatric population
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License, a satisfactory driving record, proof of insurance and reliable transportation
