B’Above Worldwide Institute Inc. is a nonprofit children’s organization that provides quality Center Based and Home-Based childcare for families in the Queens, Brooklyn and Bronx communities. Our schools support all aspects of children’s growth and development in a safe and nurturing environment. B’Above provides a sound educational foundation for children’s academic growth. Our program provides comprehensive services for children and their families in keeping with our philosophy that the caregiver is the child’s primary teacher.

Positions available in Queens and the Bronx

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site compliance monitoring
  • Recommend necessary revisions or implementation of processes, create reports and develop plans of action, as needed and have direct oversight of designated sites
  • Work with Education Dept. Directors to design a resource binders for all sites. Work with the Education Directors/Site Director to design and update the teacher’s planner to be distributed at both the center-based and partner sites
  • Assist Ed team in monitoring sites planners and data entry
  • Supports the completion of all the education files
  • Work with the Education Dept. Directors to create and update the calendar for the year with the teachers at the center-based site
  • Create and submit to the Education Directors all child-outcome reports three times per year
  • Support the Education Directors to work with partner sites and central base to assure family style meals and teeth brushing protocols are followed properly
  • Contact Teachers on a monthly basis to ascertain services needs
  • Observe the outcome of services based on initial and progressive reported/ observed stress levels of the child and the teacher/parent/director associated with the service need
  • Attend weekly Education team meetings with Education Directors
  • Visit sites on monthly basis to monitor programs
  • Learn information tracking systems and update the calendar and other necessary reports
  • Provide child-outcome reports to the Education Directors
  • Create resources for sites based on Creative Curriculum assessments
  • Fill-out own self-assessment and review it with the Education directors twice per year
  • Works with the Ed Directors to conduct a formal assessment of each center annually
  • Discusses issues or thoughts about working with the partner schools with the Ed Directors
  • Participate in writing of New Agency Written Plans
  • Review departmental Policies and Procedures annually and as needed Review Community Assessment Annually and as needed
  • Attend Internal departmental Team Meetings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education
  • New York State Teaching Certification Birth- grade 2 or Birth- grade 6 (highly Preferred)
  • Experience as a teacher and or Director in an early childhood setting
  • Knowledge in early childhood assessments, screening Disability/Mental Health, Curriculum, CLASS, ECERS and ITERS
  • Must be willing to travel to designated B'Above schools within Queens, Brooklyn and Bronx
