Brooklyn Public Library has launched Brooklyn Reads to Babies, a new early literacy campaign geared especially for parents and caregivers of babies and toddlers. Brooklyn Reads to Babies underscores the importance of reading to children during their first years of life, and it’s a fun and unique bonding opportunity for parents and their babies. For more information visit http://www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org/first5years/read/baby/ where you can download the program’s brochures free of charge. The brochures, available in 6 languages, give parents, caregivers and educators information on reading with infants and toddlers, literacy milestones, and suggested books to read.
