Thank you for your interest in the New York Early Childhood Professional Development Institute’s Leadership Initiative. The caliber of Early Childhood Program leadership is the most important factor in determining a program’s quality. The Leadership Initiative is committed to building skills in leadership and management for current and future early childhood leaders.

As a general member, no application is required and you will be able to access resources, attend networking events and participate in designated group activities. By creating spaces for development and growth, participants will be able to effectively develop and implement their visions within their educational community. Participants will ultimately be at the forefront of innovative professional development that caters to the needs and effective development of strong early childhood leaders.

If you are interested in fuller participation in the Leadership Initiative, we encourage you to become a member of a borough-based cohort by filling out the application below.

Cohort Members will engage in the following:

  • Attend monthly sessions facilitated by a coach/mentor that will address specific needs of each individuals and their community.
  • Access to coaching and mentorship
  • Attend events and engage in activities that serve as opportunities for growth and development.
  • Have access to financial support to enroll in courses in CUNY’s online program in Early Childhood Education Management and Leadership program that leads to the CPAC credential

Additionally, we are looking to identify experienced leaders who are ready to support the development of other leaders through coaching and leadership.

These cohorts will be facilitated by a coach/mentor and will address specific needs of each community.

Application Instructions

Participants interested in taking advantage of this opportunity are required to submit all parts of the application below, including:
