Develops and maintains quality standards of early childhood education designed to meet the educational, physical and social needs of children and implements the Creative Curriculum.
Supervise employees and volunteers at the center at all times.
Develop and plan the education program for the childcare/ Preschool program.
Ensure the professional growth of educational staff.
Actively participate in the recruitment of children to the center which includes devising strategies to increase and maintain enrollment throughout the year.
Collaborate with Family Services to manage intake and placement of new children at the center.
Coordinate and supervise the efforts of the early childhood staff in developing and maintaining program components including education, health, nutrition, social services, parent involvement, mental health and disabilities.
Ensure that all program services are of the highest qualities.
Maintain sound financial management over program budgets, as well as helping site directors manage their program budgets and ensure timely collection of parent's fees.
Represent the child care center and build strong working relationships with the Administrations for Children's Services (ACS).

Qualifications:
The Teacher Director must posses:
A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field of study and State Education Department teacher certification in early childhood education.
At least two years experience as a group teacher in a program for children under six years of age.
