Job Description: 
The Program Assistant will provide critical supports for systems and projects at the Bank Street Education Center with a specific focus on supporting the design, launch and incubation of new programs across the college. 

Job Requirements:
Applicants should exhibit a combination of personal attributes, including flexibility, persistence, entrepreneurial-ism, and a focus on possibilities. An interest in education and public policy is also helpful. 
 

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the leadership of the Bank Street Education Center’s program design team with the management of new program design and incubation projects, including assistance in writing, research, program management, communications, and planning necessary events and writing communications for a variety of internal and external audiences 


● Conduct research using written documents, online materials and interviews or connections with key stakeholders across the college to inform program design, landscape analysis and the creation of briefing documents for internal and external audiences
● Support development of written materials for grant or contracts
● Support in the creation and monitoring of project plans with milestones, deliverables, owners and timelines for each event/product; track progress, summarize decisions, and escalate as needed; 
● Support the development of budgets and other supporting materials needed in the development of grants and contracts
● Help arrange special events, including outreach to participants, drafting communications to attendees, ensuring that all details for the event are prepared in advance and managed on the day-of; 
● Manage regular meetings with stakeholders, including preparation of agendas and necessary materials and following up from each meeting as needed
● Support in the maintenance and tracking of financial information including budgets, invoices, expense reimbursements, etc.
● Provide general support across projects to fill gaps and ensure successful execution of a range of program design, development and launch

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

● Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to perform independently 
● Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
● Attention to detail and ability to identify issues and inconsistencies in data 
● Strong communication skills including excellent writing skills
● Ability to work effectively with others at varying levels of an organization and to consistently display a high level of professionalism in all interactions 
● Flexibility in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment of quickly changing priorities and tight deadlines 
● Demonstrated ability to design systems or processes to solve a problem 
● Strong critical thinking and project management skills
● Understanding of data and program outcomes
● Ability to track budget expenses and understanding budgeting
 

Recommended Qualifications:

● B.A. required
● M.A. degree in education, public policy or related field and/or two to five years of work experience preferred
