Description:

Private preschool in Briarwood, Queens is looking for an Educational Director. We have one PKA class plus 2 younger classes. We service a diverse multi-cultural community.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the child care center.

Oversee staff of 12 teachers and assistants.

Ensure compliance and serve as liaison with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the New York City Department of Education

Recruit new students

Provide assistance in classroom when necessary

Qualifications:

New York State Certification in Early Childhood Education (B-2nd Grade)

Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

Minimum 2 years experience teaching in an early childhood setting

Excellent written and communication skills

Flexible personality and team player

Multi-lingual a plus

Computer expertise
