You will be working in a supportive environment with a diverse group of children. This is a pilot program and we value your input. Bitty City Players cultivates young minds through fun, innovative, and active learning. From theater games to scientific exploration to sensory play, our dynamic classes stimulate the imagination, promote teamwork, and develop problem-solving skills.
Position can be tailored to accommodate teachers’ preferences and strengths. We want to create a caring and cohesive team which enables everyone to do their best work!
If you are interested in leading lessons, you must have documented proficiency teaching one or more of the following subjects to young children: music, theater, visual art, yoga, dance, natural science, basic engineering principles, literacy or math readiness, mindfulness, SEL

Schedule is flexible; availability 5 days a week is preferred but not required. The program runs 9/12/2018 thru 6/21/2019, Monday thru Friday, 2pm-6pm. We follow the NYC DOE calendar but will also provide programming during some school closures such as clerical days and certain religious holidays.
We are seeking candidates available for the full school year, but are willing to consider candidates with single-semester availability.
All staff, regardless of frequency of teaching, must be available for orientation and training on select dates in late August and early September, and for regular staff meetings throughout the school year.
Due to licensing requirements, if you have not already completed fingerprinting, background check, and health and safety training with the NYC DOE or DOH, you may need to do so upon accepting this position. We can provide guidance on this.
