Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a Hebrew dual-language camp for children entering Pre-K through 4th grade. No previous Hebrew experience is necessary to be part of the Sprout Brooklyn community.

Sprout Brooklyn is a place where children from a wide spectrum of backgrounds join together to create a joyful, diverse, Jewish community built on Jewish values, a connection to Israel and the Hebrew language.

We are looking for creative, energetic, nurturing STEM educator to create and execute programs for children ages 3 – 9 that incorporate Hebrew, Jewish values and Israel education. This is an extraordinary opportunity to work collaboratively with a passionate team to build a new Jewish Day Camp.  You will help create a joyful Jewish community and truly make a difference in the life of hundreds of children.

Camp runs Monday - Friday from the July 2 – August 17 (camp is closed July 4) with a week of staff training from June 22 – June 29. The camp day is 9am – 4pm. Approximately 35 hours of pre-camp curriculum development and 4 pre-camp meetings/calls with senior program staff.

Responsibilities:

• Create and execute fun, age-appropriate Cooking activities that engage campers and help them develop new skills.
• Incorporate Jewish values, Hebrew and/or Israel education into activities whenever possible (if you do not have experience doing this, you will work with our Assistant Director to build your curriculum.
• Meet daily with campers ages 3 - 9.
