The Director is responsible for overall administration and supervision of the children’s programs services in the Day Care Program and Infant Care Program ensuring compliance with local and federal laws governing child care services for children ages 3 months to 5 years old. The responsibilities shall include coordination and supervision of services, curriculum management, nutrition, supervision and staff development, community outreach, parent involvement, fiscal management and accountability.

-Conduct the Annual Self-Assessment required by NYC ACS Division of Early Care and Education (ECE)
-Supervision of Staff
-Facilitating the election, establishment and continuation of a Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)
-Assisting in creating a mechanism for regular communication between the Board and PAC
-Maintain relationship with the Board of the Agency and attend Board Meetings as needed.
-Monitor children’s wellbeing and share responsibilities with staff in the classrooms
-Monitor and assist in identifying children needs and in the development of appropriate services
-Monitor curriculum development and daily curriculum activities
-Monitor daily attendance and census
-Monitor and assess materials, equipment and supplies needed for the programs and children
-Valid New York State Teacher’s Certificate (or equivalent certificate from another state, which is recognized by the New York State Department of Education).
-Two years of group teacher experience plus academic course work pertinent of the appropriate age levels.
-Meet all compliance required by NYC Administration for Children Services and the NYS Department of Health.
