Description:

We are currently seeking an energetic, nurturing and passionate Part Time Assistant Teacher.  Assistant teachers play an important role in providing a fun, entertaining, educational and safe environment for our students. Staff work with students and who range from ages 2 to 7 years old, classrooms are separated by age. Assistants are expected to positively interact with students in a structured and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Head Teacher in all aspects of the classroom
  • Continually keep students active and engaged in fun and challenging activities
  • Follow and execute activities according to daily lesson plans, as needed
  • Interact with children, parents/guardians and co-workers in a professional manner at all times
  • Understand and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for all classrooms
  • Maintain a healthy and safe learning environment

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma
  • At least 1 yr classroom experience in Early Childhood Education or pursing an Education degree.
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting for background check
  • Bilingual a plus
