The YMCA of Greater New York reaches half a million New Yorkers through programs that focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Prospect Park YMCA is seeking qualified individuals who, under the supervision of the COMPASS Director, will be responsible for supporting children with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and children needing additional behavior modification support. The Inclusion Specialist will also support program and school staff in modifying and adapting their lesson plans to achieve IEP and inclusion goals. In addition, the Inclusion Specialist will help staff create an inclusive classroom where all students feel welcome and can learn in a style that meets their needs.
We offer an exciting and innovative work environment with a culture committed to serving all members of our community. As a leading not-for-profit, community service organization, our Association relies heavily on fundraising to support the wide range of programs we proudly provide the communities we serve. Our expectation is that all staff promotes participation of their branch fundraising efforts in some capacity. If you would like to be a member of our dynamic team, please forward your cover letter and resume with subject line “Inclusion Specialist” to abagli@ymcanyc.org or to:
