Overview: The zero to three Child Development program integrates Early Head Start and Family Child Care services into a single program that offers full-day home-based child care services, family support services and advocacy to low income families with children under three years of age. The program provides developmentally appropriate home-based child care, home visits to families and family child care providers.

- To ensure that enrollment is at capacity and compliant with State and Federal program regulations.
- Oversee the recruitment and outreach efforts in collaboration with Supervisor and assist in the recruitment of families.
- Oversee the intake process of families enrolling into the program
- Provide families with appropriate referrals and follow-up with families and service providers on referrals.
- Oversee the intake process of families enrolling into the program
- Be part of a team in assessing family needs and child developmental status.
- Coordinate all family activities including monthly Parent and Provider Workshops
- Coordinate and support the implementation and ongoing development of the Health Advisory Committee
- Assist Director of Family and Community Services with program planning and implementation
- Maintain proper documentation on families and children.
- Manage a small caseload of families and conduct home visits
- Assist in developing the Parent Committee and other parent support groups
- Maintain and develop relationships with other community-based organizations that support the
- Monitor and track ASQ, ASQ-SE and/or DECA to ensure program compliance.
- Responsible for data entry of children/family records using Excel, Access and Salesforce of children/family records
- Monitor and Track ongoing medical and health forms/records.
Other Responsibilities:
- Develop consistent, stable and supportive relationships with families and children.
- Administer developmental assessment on children and family assessments
- Monitor the ongoing provision of home visits
- Be part of a team in developing an individualized family/child plan addressing family and child needs.
- Develop and maintain community resource materials for families and staff
- Maintain appropriate records that comply with Fiscal requirements
- Oversee that staff maintain proper documentation on families and children.
- Provide guidance and training to staff
- Update and maintain data in Teaching Strategies Gold
- Assist in program evaluation and assessment
- Other duties as requested by supervisor to fulfill job responsibilities
Qualifications:
- BA required or MA/MSW in Social Work, Psychology, and Education, Human Development or related field with knowledge of child development birth to three.
- Experience working with families and providing home visits necessary.
- CDA and 3 years family/community service experience.
- Ability to write and speak Chinese or Spanish preferred.
