Medgar Evers College, Education Department, invites applications for a substitute line (that would lead to a tenure-track line) Assistant Professor of Education-Early Childhood and Special Education to begin August 2017. An earned doctorate in early childhood education or Special Education with an early childhood focus and PK-3 teaching experience are required. The successful candidate will have a strong record of scholarship with potential for external funding; excellence in teaching; and knowledge of current policies and practices associated with teaching young children and Special Education.
Special consideration will be given to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a research agenda, teach undergraduate courses, participate in academic advising, engage in scholarly service, and supervise candidates in field experiences.
